RELIGION

UNIT 1 – “Jesus Christ Is With Us Always”

Chapter 3 -        We Celebrate God’s Love                                                         Children will learn about the work of Jesus and the beginning of the Church. They will learn about the sacraments and ways we worship God.                                                                                        

Chapter 4 -       We Celebrate Baptism
Children will learn that at Baptism we become children of God and members of the Church. We receive grace, a share in God’s life.

Chapter 5 -        We Celebrate Confirmation
Children will learn that in the Sacrament of Confirmation will celebrate the Gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit strengthens us.

Chapter 6 -      The Church Year                                                                        The Children will learn that be means of the yearly cycle the Church celebrates the whole mystery of Christ.

Chapter 7-       Ordinary Time
Children will learn that during Ordinary Time we celebrate Jesus Christ and how to follow him.


This year as part of our Middle States Accreditation will be studying The Corporal Works of Mercy.   The Catholic Church gives a special name to good deeds done for others. The Corporal Works of Mercy are actions done out of love and care for other people
