Welcome to the Fourth Grade

This week is Terra Nova Testing.  Please make sure that the students come to school well-rested and they have eaten breakfast.  The students will need each day four #2 sharpened wooden pencils.  It is recommended that they also have an extra eraser, a book to read, and a snack.  Testing begins at 9:00 AM. so please make sure the students are on time each day.  There will limited homework for this week.

This week is also the end of the trimester.  Report cards are tentatively set to be handed out by Bishop Flesey on Thursday, March 17th.

MARCH'S DATES TO REMEMBER...
 

4th: First Friday Liturgy – 9:30 AM; 12:30 PM dismissal; NO AFTERCARE

 7th - 11th: TERRA NOVA TESTING WEEK...well-rested, eaten breakfast, four #2 sharpened wooden pencils, an extra eraser, a snack, arrive on-time to school

7th: Pancake Dinner...6 PM

8th: Scholastic Orders are due

9th: Ash Wednesday...students will receive ashes in the afternoon

11th: End of the Second Trimester; Movies and a Message...in the afternoon

12th/13th: Daylight Savings...don't forget to spring forward one hour!

14th: Prayer Week

16th: APRIL Lunch Orders due this morning!!

 17th: reports cards handed out

17th: St. Patrick's Day…non-uniform day (green and white)...amount to be determined...proceeds to go to our Adopt-a-Family...

18th: NO SCHOOL...Professional Day for teachers

21st: St. Jude's Math-a-thon begins...ends April 1st

25th: PreK - 6th graders NUT card Day (Movies and a Message Day from 2/4)

30th: 7th & 8th Grade Science Fair

31st: March Birthdays...non-uniform and treat day

 

Special Notes/Reminders

  Please make sure that you check the green envelope regularly each week.  There are often times forms that need to be downloaded, printed and returned to school.

Fourth Grade’s Specials’ Schedule
Monday – Spanish & Gym
Tuesday – Music
Wednesday – Art or Computers, and Spanish
Thursday – Gym
Friday – Art or Computers, and Library

**The children are responsible on Gym days to wear their AMBS gym uniform (jogging suit - weather permitting) and sneakers.

Please check the Fourth Grade page to see when test/quizzes are scheduled.  This information is also written on the homework board for the students to copy into their homework pads.

   Scholastic book order forms will be sent home on Thursday, March 3rd.  Please return orders by Tuesday, March 8th.  Don’t forget, it is possible for you to enter online and use a credit card…let me know if your are interested.
