Pre-K 3 Class News

 

May is certainly in bloom in Pre-K 3!!
Our flowers are blooming!  Our caterpillars, Jessica Seraphina, Miley Cirus, Lou, Greased Lighting and Mirelda have gotten so big!  We believe they will begin to form their chrysalises any day now!  We can’t wait until they turn into butterflies!!  Most importantly, our Pre-K students are really taking flight!  They have shown remarkable growth in all areas, and we couldn’t be any prouder of them.   

 

“Operation… Cooperation” is doing wonderfully, as our classroom and take-home charts are used daily to remind us to be caring, sharing, and keep Jesus in our hearts.  The children had a wonderful time learning about Jonah and the Whale, and making a very clever whale.  We talked about following God’s rules and why this is so important for everyone.

 

On May 5^th, we will be taking a trip to The Health Barn in Wyckoff. This will round out our ongoing activities and discussions about “Happy, Healthy Me!” New ideas and activities on a healthy lifestyle, family time, as well as some gardening are sure to delight us all!

 

Mother’s Day will be celebrated in a grand way, as only our Preschoolers can!!  We will invite our moms in after the trip, and we have a few surprises in store!!

 

Letter “Xx” will bring us into Pirate week…AAARRRHHH!!
“X” certainly does mark the spot for learning!

 

Letters “Yy” and “Zz” will finish our alphabet this month…we can’t believe it!  We will certainly celebrate!

 

Memorial Day will be discussed and remembered with a meaningful craft and story.

 

Then it’s on to practicing for our “Moving Up” ceremony on June 14^th!  Please look for further information to follow.

 

How quickly the year passes! Please note that there are three half-day 12:30 dismissals this month:

·        May 7^th – First Friday

·        May 13^th-Ascension Thursday

·        May 28^th 12:30 Dismissal
