Language:  The children will practice spelling the "at" words:  at, bat, cat, hat, mat, rat 

Math:  The children will …

• Cut and paste the pictures of healthy food on the numbers 1-6 in the shopping cart
• Make a list of different kinds of occupations

Science:  The children will …

• Test to see if a magnet will attract through wood; record finding
• Use a stone to grind wheat grain to make flour
• Make a diagram to show the path food travels when it enters the body
• Take a walk around the school to look for signs of spring

 

Art:   The children will …

• Glue clippings of different items that are found in a grocery store to the border of the Grocery List.  Please use this list at home to write down items that are needed from the grocery store and bring it with you the next time you go shopping.
• Create forsythia branches in a vase

Religion:  “We Are Friends of Jesus"  The children will ...

• Recall the Bible story "Everyone Had Enough to Eat"

• Share that Jesus feeding the people with the bread and fish is a sign of God's love

• Thank God for his love

Notes/Reminders:

• Thank you again for all your help with our cooking days.  I hope we've laid a good foundation for the basics of healthy eating!
• Thursday, March 31st - Non-Uniform Day for March birthdays
• Friday, April 1st - We will be attending First Friday Mass
  • 12:30 p.m. dismissal for those who normally stay until 3:00 p.m.
    • Please send a healthy snack and drink to school
  • All other children are dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
• April Calendar Update: 
  • Full day on Wednesday, April 20th
  • Early Dismissal Thursday, April 21st...Easter break begins
