Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament Eighth Graders Compete at
St. Joseph’s Regional High School’s Eleventh  Annual Scholastic Olympics

On
Thursday, October 22, 2009 eighth grade students from the Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament participated in the Eleventh Annual Scholastic Olympics Challenge hosted by St. Joseph’s Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. A total of twenty-one schools from New York and New Jersey participated, represented by a strong field of academically proficient students from each school.

 

The Academy took home, (for the second consecutive year), first place honors in Spelling and second place honors in Art.  In the Spelling category, the field of forty-two students competed in traditional oral spelling bee style.  While in the Art category, the twenty one students had thirty minutes to compose an original pencil drawing.
